Chelsea is a prime location in the heart of Manhattan, sitting between Midtown and West Village. Because the Chelsea International Hostel is served by several subway lines (A, C, E, F, 1, 2, 3), you are just a few minutes away from anywhere in the city. The neighborhood of Chelsea is a cultured-filled area, with numerous art galleries, stores, and restaurants.

  • Café Grumpy: 20th St between 7th and 8th Ave. 2 min walk.

  • Highline Park: Closest entrance is on 20th St and 10th Ave (5 minute walk).

  • Apple Store: 14th St and 9th Ave. 10 min walk.

  • Chelsea Market: 16th St and 9th Ave. 10 min walk.

  • Shake Shack: In Madison Square Park- 23rd between 5th and Madison – 16 minute walk

  • Madison Square Garden: 33rd St and 7th Ave. 15 min walk or 5 min by subway. Take the 1, C or E trains uptown to 34th St.

  • Art Galleries: There are countless art galleries in Chelsea, mostly located between 19th St and 21st St and 10th Ave. 5 min walk.
