Directions

Chelsea International Hostel is located at 250 West 20th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue in Manhattan.  We are located within a few blocks to the 1, 2, 3, A, C, E, and L trains.  With close proximity to several subway lines, our central NYC location is easy to find.  If you are arriving from one of the major NYC airports, please see directions below:

 

From JFK Airport

Subway: Take the air train to the Howard Beach subway stop. From there you will take a Manhattan-bound A train to 14th Street. Exit the station towards 16th Street and proceed to walk north on 8th Avenue to 20th Street. Another option is to take the air train to the Jamaica Station subway stop. From there you will take a Manhattan-bound E train to 23rd Street in Manhattan. Exit the station and proceed to walk south on 8th Avenue to 20th Street. We are located on 20th Street between 8th and 7th Avenues.

 

From La Guardia Airport

Public Transportation: Take the Q70 bus to Jackson Heights / Roosevelt Avenue subway stop. From there, take the E train to 23rd Street in Manhattan. Exit the station and proceed to walk south on 8th Avenue to 20th Street. We are located on 20th Street between 8th and 7th Avenues.

 

From Newark International Airport

Train: Take a NJ transit train to New York Penn Station – the last stop on the train (please note there is also a Newark Penn Station). From Penn Station take a Downtown C, E or 1 Train to 23rd Street. Exit the station and proceed to walk south on 8th or 7th Avenue to 20th Street. We are located on 20th Street between 8th and 7th Avenues.

 

Taxis from major airports:

Taxi fare from JFK and La Guardia airports will be a minimum of $45.00  not including tolls and tip. Taxi fare from Newark will be slightly more due to additional tolls.  Uber and Lyft are available in New York City.
